This week we read a wonderfully aspiring story about a girl named Angel who had a small plan to help a big zoo. However, her plan to have everyone in her community give $1.00 to help the zoo turned into a huge success and she ended up helping the zoo raise more than $600,000 in just six months! She had a small idea that made a huge difference. Now it is your turn to have a small idea to make a change and make a big difference in our community. Think of a problem that you feel needs to be fixed or others that need our donations. Tell us what your plan is to make a difference and persuade us to help your cause. Write at least five sentences about the problem you'd like to help change and convince us to help you!
I think we need to help schools, espesially the ones with little or no money. Everybody deserves the right to go to school if he or she wants to. And school should always have enough food, water, electricity, heat, and things to make learning more fun because everybody wants to learn in a decent school. With more money, the schools can keep the school clean and safe. We should also help the families that want to go to school able to pay for there children. If everybody gives what they can, we can make a big difference. This money could go from down the street, to all the way to Asia.
